Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the center of this quilt block.)
• Red: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.(These are paired with the Blue 3 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the center of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.(These are paired with the Red 3 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are paired with the White 4 1/4″ square & then they’re paired with the results of the Red 3 7/8″ squares. All together they’ll create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles. They’ll be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
• Red: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Red: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Blue 4 1/4″ squares & the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
