Dartboard Quilt Block is a Free Pattern for a 12" quilt block at QuiltTherapy.com!

Dartboard Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Red: Cut ONE (1) 1 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s paired with the Green 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangle.)
  • Red: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. Once they’re sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’re also paired with the Red 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. Once sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) more Snowball Corners.)
  • Red: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ squares which will create ONE (1) Snowball Corner.)
  • Red: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
  • Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ square in the center of this quilt block. They’re also paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 3″ rectangles.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Green 1 1/2″ x
    3 1/2″ rectangles.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 3″ rectangles.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. They’re also paired with the 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles.)

Tee Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Gray: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank ONE (1) end of the Gray 1 1/4″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles.)
  • Gray: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/4″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles. (These are flanked on ONE (1) end by the Teal/Gray Half-Square Triangles. They’re also flanked on ONE (1) other end by the Gray/Teal Half-Square Triangles.)
  • Gray: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Gray 1 1/2″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles.)
  • Gray: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Teal 2 5/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles in the center of this quilt block.)
  • Gray: Cut TWO (2) TWO (2)  4 5/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.  (These are paired with the Teal 4 5/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
  • Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank ONE (1) end of the Teal 1 1/4″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles.)
  • Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/4″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles. (These are flanked on ONE (1) end by the Teal/Gray Half-Square Triangles. They’re also flanked on ONE (1) other end by the Gray/Teal Half-Square Triangles.)
  • Teal: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Teal 1 1/2″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles.)
  • Teal: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Gray 2 5/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles in the center of this quilt block.)
  • Teal: Cut TWO (2) TWO (2)  4 5/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Gray 4 5/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 1 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt blocks. They’re paired with the results of the Teal 3 1/4″ square.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Gray/Teal Half-Square Triangles.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the results of the White 2 1/2″ square which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
  • Green: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
  • Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These rectangles are paired with the Green/White Flying Geese. They are then paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 4″ rectangles.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the Green 3 5/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ x 6″ rectangles. (These rectangles are paired with the Green 1 5/8″ x 4″ rectangles.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)

Cobra Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Gold: Cut TEN (10) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Rust 2 1/2″ squares. ONE (1) of these squares is the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block. Another ONE (1) of these squares is the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block. When all sewn together they’ll create a “frame” around the Cobras in the center of this quilt block.)
  • Gold: Cut ONE (1) 4 5/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese.)
  • Rust: Cut TEN (10) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Gold 2 1/2″ squares. ONE (1) of these squares is the lower right-hand corner of this quilt block. Another ONE (1) of these squares is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block. When all sewn together they’ll create a “frame” around the Cobras in the center of this quilt block.)
  • Rust: Cut ONE (1) 4 5/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese.)
  • Burnt Sienna: Cut FOUR (4) 2 5/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Burnt Sienna
    2 5/8″ x 4″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners in the center of this quilt block.)
  • Burnt Sienna: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ x 4″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Burnt Sienna 2 5/8″ x 4″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball corners in the center of this quilt block. They’re flanked by the results of the White 3 3/8″ squares.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the results of the Gold 4 5/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the results of the Rust 4 5/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Burnt Sienna 2 5/8″ by 4″ rectangles in the center of this quilt block.)
