Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are in the center of this quilt block. They are paired with the Dk. Gray/Black Half-Square Triangles.)
- Dk. Gray: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Black 3 1/4″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. Then they are paired with the Green
2 1/2″ squares which will help create the center of this quilt block.) - Dk. Gray: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These are paired on ONE (1) end with the Dk. Gray/Green Half-Square Triangles. Then they are paired with the Black 2 1/2″ x
5 1/2″ rectangles.) - Dk. Gray: Cut TWO (2) 3″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Black 3″ squares in the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- Dk. Gray: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Black 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ rectangles.)
- Dk. Gray: Cut TWO (2) 4″ squares. (These are the lower left-hand & the upper right-hand corners of this quilt block. They are paired with the Black 2 1/2″ x 4″ rectangles.)
- Black: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block. They are paired with the Dk. Gray 3″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles.)
- Black: Cut TWO (2) 3″ squares. (These are the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block. They are paired with the Dk. Gray 3″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles.)
- Black: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the Dk. Gray 3 1/4″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. Then they are paired with the Green
2 1/2″ squares which will help create the center of this quilt block.) - Black: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Green 2 1/2″ squares & will help create the center of this quilt block.)
- Black: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These are paired on ONE (1) end with the Dk. Gray/Green Half-Square Triangles.)
- Black: Cut SIX (6) 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ rectangles. (These are all pared on ONE (1) end with the Dk. Gray/Green Half-Square Triangles.)
