Crossroads Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Pink: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
• Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. Then they’re paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patches. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
• Purple: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Purple/White Half-Square Triangles which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patches. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Pink 5 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Purple 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. Then they’re paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patches. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)

This block only uses TEN (10) of these triangles. (These are paired with the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares, which will create FIVE (5) Quarter-Square Triangles. ONE (1) of these Quarter-Square Triangles is the center of this quilt block as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
• Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. Then they’re paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patches. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
• White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue/White Half-Square Triangles which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patches. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
• White: Cut THREE (3) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. This quilt block only uses TEN (10) of these triangles.(These are paired with the results of the Green 5 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles.
