Kaleidoscope Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12â€³ finished block (scant 1/4â€³ seam allowance):

Blue: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 1 7/8″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank each & every one of the Half-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
Blue: Cut TWELVE (12) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ squares, which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the Blue 1 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 7/8″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Blue 1 7/8″ squares, as well as the White 2 7/8″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWELVE (12) 1 7/8″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 1 7/8″ squares, which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (FOUR (4) of these will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. The remaining FOUR (4) of them will create the center of this quilt block. Each one of them will create EIGHT (8) Snowball corners.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 4 7/8″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Blue 1 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)

Hopscotch Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12â€³ finished block (scant 1/4â€³ seam allowance):

Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the ONE (1) side of the results of the Purple 5 1/4″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the results of the Pink 2 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Youâ€™ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 2 1/2″ squares. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank ONE (1) side of the results of the Purple 5 1/4″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)

Purple: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (TWO (2) of these will be flanked by the results of the Yellow 2 7/8″ squares. TWO (2) more will be flanked by the results of the Pink 2 7/8″ squares. All of these are needed for this quilt block.
Purple: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked on ONE (1) side by the results of the Yellow 2 7/8″ squares & on ONE (1) other side by the Pink 2 7/8″ squares. All of these are needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of the center square.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the Purple 4 1/2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll be the center of this quilt block.)

Maypole Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12â€³ finished block (precise 1/4â€³ seam allowance):

Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square.
Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (This is paired with ONE (1) of the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square.
Pink: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (This is paired with ONE (1) of the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square.
Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (This is paired with ONE (1) of the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
Purple: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square.
Purple: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
White: Cut FOUR (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow, Pink, Blue & Purple 3 7/8″ squares. Which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. All together they’ll be the center of this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/3″ x 6 1/2″ rectangles.

While making your Half-Square Triangles you only need ONE (1) of each color for this quilt block. However, do not waste the other Half-Square Triangles, those are called Bonus Half-Square Triangles! Collect them & add them to your stash! Use them whenever you’re needing to fill in some gaps, or when a pattern calls for Half-Square Triangles, you’ll already have some ready and waiting!

Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ x 10 3/8″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 3 3/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ x 5 3/8″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 3″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 3″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Gold 3″ x 10 3/8″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Gold 3″ x 5 3/8″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners, as needed for this quilt block.)
