Tantalizing Tuesday! The Blackstone Valley Quilt Guild sewed my “Windowsill Wonders” Row of the Month Quilt Together!

“Windowsill Wonders” 2018 Row of the Month Quilt. An Original Design by TK Harrison from BOMquilts.com“Windowsill Wonders” 2018 Row of the Month Quilt. An Original Design by TK Harrison from BOMquilts.com!

The Blackstone Valley Heritage Quilt Guild is a quilt guild that established around 1988 with six members getting together to share their quilting experiences. We now have grown to 60 plus members and encourage anyone to join that wants to share and learn about quilts and sewing.

We meet once a month with a program and have workshops each month to learn how to make wonderful creations. We sew for charities for those in need, from nursing homes, hospitals, children, men, and women. Where there is a need we donate to as many as we can. We have sewn hearts for breast cancer patients, fidget quilts for Alzheimer’s, dolls for children waiting for surgery, quilts for anyone that could use a hug.

We have BOM, challenge, mystery shop hop trip, treasure room, staycation retreat, just to name a few of the programs we offer. Our members fill in where needed to keep the guild functioning. Our meetings are welcoming and we enjoy learning from each other. Show and tell is fascinating, there is so much talent in what is shown!

“Windowsill Wonders” a 2018 Row of the Month Quilt at BOMquilts.com

Quilt Therapy Posted on September 27, 2018 by TK HarrisonOctober 14, 2018

Windowsill Wonders 2018 Row of the Month Quilt from BOMquilts.com, designed by TK Harrison

I had SO much fun designing and making this quilt! If you are not following along and making it, you can find the free pattern at BOMquilts.com. I used the 1930’s retro “Windowsill Garden” designed by Darlene Zimmerman from Robert Kaufman Fabrics colorway. Pastels are my colors! My daughter colored the fabric panels with crayon and I used my iron to heat-set them.

There are only NINE (9) parts to this pattern and I have revealed SEVEN (7) thus far. My goal is to reveal the final two so that everyone who participates has a quilt finished by the end of the year! Woo Hoo!

As in past years, my quilt is sponsored by Aurifil thread and AbbiMays.com. I couldn’t ask for better folks to be my sponsors!
