“Chained Star” a Free 12" Quilt Block Pattern. Block #1 of BOMquilts.com's 2020 Block of the Month Quilt, "Midnight Stargazer!"“Chained Star” Quilt Block
Block #1 — Part #3 of the “Midnight Stargazer” 2020 BOM Quilt

Can you see now why the entire quilt is so amazing, beautiful, wonderful, eye-popping, luscious, astonishing, astounding, awesome, breathtaking, fabulous & spectacular quilt 🙂 ?

It’s partially because of the ombré fabrics that go into making each & every quilt block. Like the one shown above. The different shades of red & yellow are because of the blending of one color hue to another. Usually moving tints & shades from light to dark. The other reason why it’s all of those adjectives is because that’s the way that I designed it! I wanted to bring out those ombré fabrics, in the best way I could, by sewing them together with black fabric.

As has been, for the past seven or eight years, Abbi May’s Fabric Shop’s sponsoring my block of the month quilt. She only has a couple of “Midnight Stargazer” quilt kits left in her shop. So if you’re thinking you want to make my 2020 BOM quilt, now’s the time to purchase your quilt kit & get busy labeling your fabrics to start making your “Chained Star” Quilt Block!

Abbi May's Fabric Shop ~ Always Open at https://abbimays.comShe’s got a whole lot of fabrics there & they’re always 10% below MSRP!

Quilt Therapy Posted on March 19, 2020 by TK HarrisonMarch 14, 2020

The Irish Jig’s Probably the Most Distinctive & Recognizable Dance Style’s Around!
Irish love to dance & the Irish Jig is one of their favorite styles!

This month, “Ye Olde Irish Jig” is the free pattern, that members earn
for completing the Quilt Dash.

"Ye Olde Irish Jig Quilt" a free pattern, that Quilt Dash members can earn, if they finish the March 2020 Quilt Dash! Designed by TK Harrison!“Ye Olde Irish Jig”

This traditionally pieced quilt measures 62″ x 80″ when finished.
The blocks are 12” finished and 12 1/2” unfinished.

This quilt block looks difficult to make, but it uses the Sew‐n‐Slashâ„¢ Method, developed by me 🙂 & that makes it sew together in a jiffy!

"Irish Logs" quilt block before using the Sew-n-Slashâ„¢ Method. A free pattern, that Quilt Dash members can earn, if they finish the March 2020 Quilt Dash! Designed by TK Harrison!

First you sew together the quilt block above.
"Irish Logs" corner of the quilt block. A free pattern, that Quilt Dash members can earn, if they finish the March 2020 Quilt Dash! Designed by TK Harrison! Then you’ll sew the FOUR (4) corner’s to the quilt block shown above & once done you’ll Slash off the unused corner’s of the quilt block shown above! It’s as simple (or hard, depending on how you want to look at it) as that!

In order for you to download this free pattern, all you need to do is to create a new account (or login to your current account) at QuiltDash.com & click on the link that says “Join the QuiltDash” (no quotes). Once you’ve done that, you just need to search for the images on the shops/websites/blogs who are participating in this month’s Quilt Dash. It’s really quite simple & a fun thing to do! Not to mention you get to look at some lovely quilty fabrics that you may just want to purchase (I promise not to tell anyone 🙂 )!
