Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Bright Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.
  • Red: Cut SIX (6) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Red: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Red 2 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’re flanked by the White & Red Half-Square Triangles.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These will flank the FOUR (4) corners of the Pink 4 1/2″ square.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Red 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Rust: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
  • Rust: Cut TWO (2) 3 5/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow 3 5/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help “frame” the center of this quilt block.)
  • Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Rust 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
  • Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 3 5/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Rust 3 5/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help “frame” the center of this quilt block.)
  • Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 3 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. These are paired with the results of the Rust
    3 5/8″ squares & will help create a “frame” around the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank TWO (2) sides of the Rust 3 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the Gold 3 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. As well as the Rust & Yellow Half-Square Triangles. They’ll create a “frame” around this center square.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Teal: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s paired with the Aqua 2 3/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
  • Aqua: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Teal 6 1/2″ square & will create FOUR (4) Snowball corners. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
  • Aqua: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ squares & will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
  • Aqua: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Dk. Blue 4 1/4″ squares & they’re also paired with the results of the Lt. Blue 4 1/4″ square. All together they’ll create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Lt. Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Aqua 3 7/8″ squares & will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)

  • Lt. Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Dk. Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Dk. Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ rectangles. (These form a “frame” around the center of this quilt block.)
  • Purple: Cut ONE (1) 1 7/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the White 1 7/8″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles.)
  • Purple: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square.  Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
  • Purple: Cut TWO (2) 6 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank TWO (2) sides, of the results of the White 6 1/4″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 1 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with ONE (1) end of the White 1 7/8 x 2 5.8″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 1 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ x 4″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. FOUR (4) of these Snowball corners will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 1 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Dk. Purple 1 7/8″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles. When sewn together they’ll help create the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles. (These are paired with ONE (1) end of the White 1 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ x 4″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. FOUR (4) of these Snowball Corners will also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the Purple 6 1/4″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
