Board Meeting Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. (These are the center of this quilt block. They are flanked by the results of the White 4 3/8″ square.)
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ x 6 5/8″ rectangles. (These are paired on the long side with the results of the White 5 3/4″ squares in the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles will flank the Blue 2 3/8″ squares in the center of this quilt block. Then they are paired with the results of the White 6 5/8″ square.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 5 3/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They are paired with the long side of the Blue 3 7/8″ x 6 5/8″ rectangles.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 6 5/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the White 2 3/8″ squares. Once they are sewn together with the Blue 2 3/8″ squares they will create the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 6 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the short ends of the Blue 3 7/8″ x 6 5/8″ rectangles.)
