Goose Creek Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Lt. Blue: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Green 2 1/2″ squares. They’re also paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares. When all sewn together they’ll create TWO (2) Nine-Patches. They’ll also be the upper left-hand & lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 2 1/2″ squares. They’re also paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares. When all sewn together they’ll create TWO (2) Nine-Patches. They’ll also be the upper left-hand & lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles will flank the White 4 3/4″ squares which will create TWO (2) Square in a Squares. They’ll also be the upper right-hand & lower left-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 2 1/2″ squares. They’re also paired with the Green 2 1/2″ squares. When all sewn together they’ll create TWO (2) Nine-Patches. They’ll also be the upper left-hand & lower right-hand corners of this )
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 3/4″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the Green 3 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Square in a Squares. They’ll also be the upper right-hand & lower left-hand corners of this quilt block.)
