Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 2″ square. (This will be flanked on all FOUR (4) sides by the White 2″ x 4″ rectangles. It’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
  • Blue: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 2″ squares. (These will be paired with either the White 2″ squares, or the results of the White 2 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 4″ squares. (These will be flanked by the White 2″ x 4″ rectangles on TWO (2) sides. They will also help make up the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These will be paired with the Blue 2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank on TWO (2) sides the Blue 2″ squares & on the other TWO (2) sides the Yellow 4″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These will flank on TWO (2) sides, the Yellow 4″ squares. They will also help make up the center of this quilt block.)

  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank on ONE (1) side the Pink 4″ squares & on TWO (2) other sides the Green 2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These will flank the Pink 4″ squares. They will also help create the center of this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Jade: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 3″ squares. FOUR (4) of these will also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
  • Jade: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Jade: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 3″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Jade 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Jade 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are flanked on TWO (2) sides by the results of the Jade 3″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)

  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Salmon 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

(Ed. Note: This can be a scrappy quilt block! No need to follow my color suggestions. Just pull out your scraps & use whatever you have to make this quilt block!)

  • Bright Pink: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired on ONE (1) side, with the White
    2 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Blue: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired on ONE (1) side, with the White 2 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired on TWO (2) sides, with the White 2 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Purple: Cut THREE (3) 2 1/2″ squares. (TWO (2) of these are paired on ONE (1) side with the White 2 1/2″ squares. The other ONE (1) is paired on TWO (2) sides with the White 2 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut SIX (6) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Bright Pink 2 1/2″ squares, the Blue 2 1/2″ squares, the Green 2 1/2″ squares & the Purple 2 1/2″ squares. As needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 1 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ rectangles. (These will be the left & right borders of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 1 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ rectangles. (These will be the top & bottom borders of this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be flanked by the Red 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles & it’ll be the center of this quilt block.)
  • Red: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These will flank the Pink 4 1/2″ square. Which will create a “frame” around the center of this quilt block.)
  • Green: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the Light Pink 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Light Pink: Cut EIGHT (8) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Green 5 1/4″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Light Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Red 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
