Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 2″ square. (This will be flanked on all FOUR (4) sides by the White 2″ x 4″ rectangles. It’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 2″ squares. (These will be paired with either the White 2″ squares, or the results of the White 2 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 4″ squares. (These will be flanked by the White 2″ x 4″ rectangles on TWO (2) sides. They will also help make up the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These will be paired with the Blue 2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank on TWO (2) sides the Blue 2″ squares & on the other TWO (2) sides the Yellow 4″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These will flank on TWO (2) sides, the Yellow 4″ squares. They will also help make up the center of this quilt block.)

- Jade: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 3″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Jade 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
