On Cloud Nine Bonus! Victorian Quilt Block!

Victorian Quilt Block is a Free Pattern for a 12" quilt block at QuiltTherapy.com!

Victorian Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Rust: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’re paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners, as needed to sew this quilt block together.
  • Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the results of the Rust 4 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball corners, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Teal 4 1/2″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed to sew this quilt block together.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square, as needed to sew it together.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the White 3 3/8″ square in the center of this quilt block. They’ll create ONE (1) Square in a Square as needed to sew it together.)

Queen's Crown Quilt Block is a Free Pattern for a 12" quilt block at QuiltTherapy.com!

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Gold: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square, as needed to sew it together.)
  • Gold: Cut NINE (9) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHTEEN (18) Half-Square Triangles. TWO (2) of these Half-Square Triangles are the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the lower left-hand & the upper right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the Gold
    3 3/8″ square, which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
  • White: Cut NINE (1) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Gold 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHTEEN (18) Half-Square Triangles. TWO (2) of these Half-Square Triangles are the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Square in a Square in the center of this quilt block. They’ll help create a “frame” around it on TWO (2) sides as needed to sew it together.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Square in a Square in the center of this quilt block. They’ll help create a “frame” around it on TWO (2) sides as needed to sew it together.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Teal: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the upper left-hand & lower right-hand corners of this quilt block. They’re paired with the Bright Pink 2 1/2″ squares & they’re also paired with the Bright Pink 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. All are needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Bright Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Teal 2 1/2″ squares. They’re also paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares. Additionally they’re paired with the Gray
    2 1/2″ squares. All are needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Bright Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Bright Pink
    2 1/2″ squares. They’re also paired with the Teal 2 1/2″ squares. Additionally they’re paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares. All are needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Gray: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Bright Pink 2 1/2″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Gray: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Gray: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (TWO (2) of these rectangles are the upper right-hand & lower left-hand corners of this quilt block. All are paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Bright Pink 2 1/2″ squares. They’re also paired with the Bright Pink 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. All are needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • White: Cut SIX (6) 2 1/2″ squares. (TWO (2) of these are paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares. The remaining FOUR (4) of these rectangles are paired with the Gray 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. All are needed to sew this quilt block together.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Orange: Cut TWELVE 2 1/2″ squares. (ONE (1) of these is the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block. ONE (1) other of these is the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block. All of them are paired with the Blue/White Half-Square Triangles as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Blue: Cut SIX (6) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Blue: Cut THREE (3) 3 3/8″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create THREE (3) Square in a Squares. ONE (1) of these Square in a Squares is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block. Another ONE (1) of these Square in a Squares is the lower right-hand corner of this quilt block. ONE (1) more is the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut SIX (6) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Bright Pink: Cut TWO (2) 4 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are flanked by the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Bright Pink: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the Yellow 4 1/2″ square in the center of this quilt block. They’ll create ONE (1) Square in a Square as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the Bright Pink 5 1/4″ square, which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
  • Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’re paired with the Yellow/White Half-Square Triangles as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
