Pine Tree Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 1 3/4″ x 4″ strip.
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 1 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (You only need ONE (1) of these triangles for this quilt block.)
- Ash Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares.
- Lime Green: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/2″ square.
- Lime Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (You only need THREE (3) of these triangles for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut SEVEN (7) 2 3/4″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
- White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares.
- White: Cut SEVEN (7) 2 3/4″ squares. (These will be paired with the Green 2 3/4″ squares to create half-square triangles.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (You only need TWO (2) of these triangles to make this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ strip.
- White: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ strip.

If you make TWELVE (12) “Pine Tree Quilt Blocks,” you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
