Vermont Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Tan: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 2 1/2″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles.)
  • Tan: Cut ONE (1) 2 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are first paired with the results of the Blue 2 3/4″ squares which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. Then they’re flanked by the results of the White 2 1/2″ squares which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll be the center of this quilt block.)
