It’s All About the “Twinkling Stars” Over at Quilt Dash this Month!

Wrap yourself in some quilty stars so youâ€™ll dream of the wonders above us! This is a big block quilt thatâ€™s perfect for chain stitching! It may look complicated, but if you can sew Half-Square Triangles, youâ€™re good to go!

If you’ve been following my blog for very long, I’m pretty sure you’ve seen these before! But the ones that are featured in my “Star Power” Gallery are 12″ square finished and these shown above are 16″ finished. Like I said above, “This is a big block quilt!”

Sailing Away makes a cute quilt for a boy or for an adult sailor. Constructed with pieced sailboat blocks, this pattern is easy to adjust to make it larger or smaller. You can also use your scraps to make it scrappy looking.

Isn’t it just too cute!?! The size of the quilt blocks are
10″ square finished &
10 1/2″ square unfinished.

I have had SO MUCH FUN making this quilt! 🙂 If you’re not making it, I hope you’re at least downloading and/or printing the patterns, so that you can make them sooner than later!

Block #5 – Whirlpool

This block was revealed on May 20, 2019 and it’s a really great lesson in making more half-square triangles (HST). This whole quilt is full of HST so if you’re not so good at making them beforehand, you should become quite accomplished, by the time you’re finished with “Harry Loves Alice”. If you’re already an accomplished HST maker then here’s your chance to perfect your HST craft!
