“Happiness is Quilting” 2017 Block of the Month Quilt. An original quilt designed by TK Harrison from BOMquilts.com!“Happiness is Quilting”
2017 Block of the Month Quilt. An original quilt designed by TK Harrison from BOMquilts.com!

The  Disconnected Piecers Quilt Guild Inc. was formed in May 1994 by 14 original members who came together to attend the National Quilt Show in Paducah, KY. Each of the women were from different states and countries with the common love of quilts and quilting, so they named themselves the “Disconnected Piecers” based out of Port Charlotte, FL. They also intend to encourage and provide opportunity for the exchange of quilting ideas and projects for beginners on up.

Their guild has monthly meetings with programs, show and tell, door prizes & treats. They are a 501(c)3 organization and community service is a high priority! Donations include lap quilts to Tidewell Hospice, and nap quilts to the Head Start Program of Charlotte County. They have a biennial quilt show (even years), go on quilt retreats & bus trips. They also have local & national teachers for classes and workshops. They are a very friendly and diverse group of quilters! Over the years the Guild has grown to over 100 members!
