Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Lt. Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 3 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Lt. Blue: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will be flank the results of the Blue 5″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 3 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Blue: Cut TWO (2) 5″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will be flanked by the results of the Lt. Blue 4 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 7″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
