Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Blue: Cut SIX (6) 3 1/2″ squares. (FOUR (4) of these will be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block. TWO (2) of these are paired with the White 3 1/2″ squares to create a Four-Patch that’s the center of this quilt block.)
  • Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 7 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 3 1/2″ squares, to create a Four-Patch, which will also be the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the Pink 3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Emerald Green: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares & are flanked by the results of the White 7 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Salmon: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the White 4 3/4″ square, which will create a Square in a Square. It will also be the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This will be flanked by the results of the Salmon 3 7/8″ squares, which will create a Square in a Square. It will also be the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Emerald Green 4 1/4″ squares & are flanked by the results of the White 7 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
