Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Purple: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Pink 4 3/4″ square, which will create a Square in a Square & will also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Light Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Light Pink: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/2″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the Bright Pink 3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Bright Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Light Pink 7 1/2″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Bright Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This will be flanked on all four sides by the results of the Purple 3 7/8″ squares, which will create a Square in a Square & will also be the center of this quilt block.)

- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Gold: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/2″ squares. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
- Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 7 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the Gold 3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
