Star Power: Crazy Star Quilt Block & Crazy Star Variation Quilt Block

Crazy Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12â€³ finished block (scant 1/4â€³ seam allowance):

Pink: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are first paired with the results of the White 5 3/8″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the Mint Green 4 3/4″ squares. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles.)
Pink: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are first paired with the results of the White 5 3/8″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the Yellow
4 3/4″ squares. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles.)
Mint Green: Cut TWO (2) 4 3/4″ squares. (These are paired with the White 4 3/4″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
Mint Green: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are first paired with the results of the Yellow 5 3/8″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the White 4 3/4″ squares. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Pink 3 1/4″ squares. They’re also paired with the results of the White 3 1/4″ square. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles.)
