Glory Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are flanked on TWO (2) sides by the results of the Purple 2 7/8″ squares & on the other TWO (2) sides by the results of the Pink 2 7/8″ squares. As needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Purple 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the Pink 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)

The King’s Crown Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Aqua: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the White 4 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Aqua 6 1/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the Blue
2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Navy Blue: Cut FIVE (5) 1 7/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. You only need NINE (9) of these triangles for this quilt block. (These are flanked by the the Pink 1 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut FIVE (5) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Navy Blue 1 7/8″ squares which will create TEN (10) Half-Square Triangles. You only need NINE (9) of these Half-Square Triangles for this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut ONE (1) 1 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. You only need NINE (9) of these Half-Square Triangles for this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut ONE (1) 9 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. You only need ONE (1) of these triangles for this quilt block. (This is the “basket” of this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut ONE (1) 1 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangle. (This is paired on ONE (1) side with the results of the White 9 7/8″ square & on ONE (1) other side with the White 1 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ rectangle. It’s part of the “basket handle” of this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut ONE (1) 1 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ rectangle. (This is paired one ONE (1) side with the results of the White 9 7/8″ square & on ONE (1) other side with the White 1 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ rectangle. It’s part of the “basket handle” of this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 1 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the the Navy Blue 1 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Pink 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. You only need NINE (9) of these Half-Square Triangles for this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (ONE (1) of these is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block. The other ONE (1) is the lower right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. You only need ONE (1) of these triangles for this quilt block. (This is flanked by the Pink 1 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangle & by the Pink 1 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ rectangle. It’s also flanked by the results of the Pink 1 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 1 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ rectangle. (This will be the right-hand side of this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 1 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ rectangle. (This will be the top of this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Green: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/2″ square. This is paired with the results of the White 2 7/8″ square & flanked by the results of the White 3 1/4″ square. As needed for this quilt block.)
Green: Cut FIVE (5) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/2″ squares, which will create TEN (10) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
Mint Green: Cut TWO (2) 6 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
White: Cut FIVE (5) 3 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 3 1/2″ squares, which will create TEN (10) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)

Lt. Blue: Cut TWENTY (20) 1 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 1 1/2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Nine-Patch sections. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
White: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 1 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 1 1/2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patch sections. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. (These will flank the results of the Green 2 3/8″ squares. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Nine-Patch sections as needed for this quilt block.)
