Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Blue: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will flank the White 4 1/2″ square, which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. It will also be the center of this quilt block.)
• Blue: Cut TWO (2) 6 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the White 1 7/8″ x
  6 1/8″ rectangles & the White 1 7/8″ x 9″ rectangles. Which will create a “frame” around the Square in a Square for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is flanked by the results of the Blue 5 1/4″ square which will create a Square in a Square. It will also be the center of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 1 7/8″ x 6 1/8″ rectangles. (These will flank the results of the Blue 5 1/4″ square & will “frame” the Square in a Square for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 1 7/8″ x 9″ rectangles. (These will flank the results of the Blue 5 1/4″ square & will “frame” the Square in a Square for this quilt block.)

No Room at the Inn Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Navy Blue: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These will be the upper right-hand & lower left-hand corner’s of this quilt block.)
• Turquoise: Cut SIX (6) 2 1/2″ squares. (TWO of these will be the upper left-hand & lower right-hand corner’s of this quilt block. The remaining FOUR (4) squares will be paired on ONE (1) end with the Purple 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These will be paired on ONE (1) end with the Purple
  2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles.)
• Purple: Cut SIX 2 1/2″ squares. (TWO (2) of these are paired with the Navy Blue 2 1/2″ squares & the other TWO (2) are paired with the Turquoise 2 1/2″ squares.)
• Purple: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired on ONE (1) end with the Turquoise 2 1/2″ squares.)

Christmas Pine Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Brown: Cut ONE (1) 1 7/8″ x 4″ rectangle. (This will be flanked on TWO (2) sides by the White 3 3/8″ x 4″ rectangles. It’s also the “trunk” of the Christmas Pine tree.)
• Light Green: Cut SIX (6) 2 1/2″ squares. (These will be paired with the Dark Green 2 1/2″ squares.)
• Dark Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These will be paired with the Light Green 2 1/2″ squares.)
• Dark Green: Cut THREE (3) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. You only need FIVE (5) of these triangles for this quilt block. (These will flank the Light Green 2 1/2″ squares.)
• Dark Green: Cut FIVE (5) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create TEN (10) Half-Square Triangles.)
• White: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/2″ square. (This will be the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/8″ x 4″ rectangles. (These will flank on TWO (2) sides the Brown 1 7/8″ x 4″ rectangle. And on the other TWO (2) sides the results of the White 5 1.2″ squares.)
• White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/2″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will be flanked by the White 3 3/8″ x 4″ rectangles.)
• White: Cut ONE (1) 5 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. You only need ONE (1) of these triangles for this quilt block. (This will flank the Brown 1 7/8″ x 4″ rectangle. It will also be the bottom right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FIVE (5) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Dark Green 2 7/8″ squares which will create TEN (10) Half-Square Triangles.)
