# Star Power: Spain’s Star Quilt Block & Spain’s Star Variation Quilt Block

**Spain’s Star Quilt Block**

**Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block** (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

**Red:**Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Yellow

3 7/8″ squares. They’re also paired with the results of the Yellow 7 1/4″ squares. When all are sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles as needed to sew it together.)**Red:**Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)**Yellow:**Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
