Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the Green
3 3/8″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.) - Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Lt. Blue
3 3/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. It’s also the center of this quilt block.) - Blue: Cut TWO (2) 2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Blue/Green Flying Geese as needed to sew this quilt block together.)

- Lt. Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Blue 3 3/8″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Lt. Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Lt. Blue 3 3/8″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Lt. Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank TWO (2) sides of the White 2″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Lt. Green: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’re paired with the Dk. Green 2 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Lt. Green: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles & they’re also paired with the Lt. Blue 2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. Then they’re flanked by the results of the Green 2 3/8″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Lt. Green 4 1/4″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)

If you sew TWELVE (12) “Three Cheers Quilt Blocks” you’ll end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
