Peace Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Blue: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Peach 2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patch blocks. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
• Blue: Cut FIVE (5) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Peach 1 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (2) Nine-Patch block. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
• Peach: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patch blocks. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
• Peach: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 1 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (2) Nine-Patch block. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
• Peach: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2)times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Nine-Patch in the center of this quilt block & they’ll create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares.Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Peach 7 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
