Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Peach 2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patch blocks. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut FIVE (5) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Peach 1 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (2) Nine-Patch block. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Peach: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Four-Patch blocks. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Peach: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 1 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (2) Nine-Patch block. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Peach: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2)times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Nine-Patch in the center of this quilt block & they’ll create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares.Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Peach 7 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Peace Star Quilt Blocks,” you’ll end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
