Emma’s Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Pink: Cut ONE (1) 1 7/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s paired with the Mint Green 1 7/8″ squares as needed to sew it together.)
Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
Pink: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Mint Green 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’re also the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
Mint Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Mint Green 1 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares. They’re also paired with the Pink
1 7/8″ squares & will help create the center of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
Mint Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Mint Green 1 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’re also the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
Mint Green: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Pink 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’re also the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
White: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Pink 2 1/2″ x
4 1/2″ rectangles as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the Mint Green 1 7/8″ squares. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)

Butterfly Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Lt. Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (This is paired with the Blue 3 7/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also create the center of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
Lt. Blue: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the White 3 7/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. This quilt block only needs ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles when it’s sewn together. It’ll also be the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also create the center of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
Blue: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the White 3 7/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. This quilt block only needs ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles when it’s sewn together. It’ll also be the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. This quilt block only needs ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles when it’s sewn together. It’ll also be the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the Blue 3 7/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. This quilt block only needs ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles when it’s sewn together. It’ll also be the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue/Blue Half-Square Triangles as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangles. (These are the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)

Friday Funday! The Kindred Spirits Quilt Guild Finished Making my free “Mistletoe in the Corner” BOM Quilt

This pattern was just updated this month. It’s the same pattern as before with a few minor adjustments. It also includes “Tutorials” to help create the quilt blocks!

Take a look at the previous post about the Kindred Spirits Quilt Guild!
They have now finished their “Mistletoe in the Corner” BOM Quilts & all who made them enjoyed the experience! I have really loved getting their emails & watching their progress as they sew together my block of the month quilt!

Snail’s Trail Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Peach: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 5/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Four-Patch. When all sewn together they’ll create the center of this quilt block.)
Peach: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the White 3 7/8″ square, which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
Peach: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the Four-Patch in the center of this quilt block. Together with the results of the White 3 7/8″ square, they’ll create ONE (1) Square in a Square, as needed to sew it together.)
Peach: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Peach/White Half-Square Triangles. They’re also the lower left-hand & the upper right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Peach 2 5/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Four-Patch. When all sewn together they’ll create the center of this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (This is paired with the Peach 3 7/8″ square, which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the Four-Patch in the center of this quilt block. Together with the results of the Peach 3 7/8″ square, they’ll create ONE (1) Square in a Square, as needed to sew it together.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangle. (This is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
