Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Teal: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Sky Blue 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Teal: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. Only THREE (3) of these triangles are needed for this quilt block. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Sky Blue 5 1/4″ square. They’re also paired with the results of the Lt. Blue 5 1/4″ square. When all sewn together they’ll create THREE (3) Quarter-Square Triangles.)
- Teal: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This is the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block.)
- Sky Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Sky Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 5/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Teal 5 1/4″ square. They’re also paired with the results of the Lt. Blue 5 1/4″ square. When all sewn together they’ll create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle.)
- Sky Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle.)
- Sky Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Sky Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This is paired with the Sky Blue/Lt. Blue Quarter-Square Triangle. It’s also paired with the Lt. Blue/Sky Blue/Teal Quarter Square Triangle.)
- Lt. Blue: Cut TWO (3) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Teal 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Lt. Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Sky Blue 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Lt Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 5/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Sky Blue 3 5/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle.)
- Lt. Blue: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Teal 5 1/4″ square. They’re also paired with the results of the Sky Blue 5 1/4″ square.
