“Winterset Bricks” Free Quilt Pattern Finishing Instructions
By now, you should have completed EIGHT (8) Block #1’s, HT (8) Block #2’s and FOUR (4) Block #3’s for your “Winterset Bricks” free quilt pattern.

Sashing between the Bricks: Cut THREE (3) 3″ x 50 1/2″ strips.
Begin by sewing the brick columns together. Next, sew the sashing strips to the brick columns. Sew the columns together as show in in the finished quilt image below. Finally, follow the instructions below to add the two borders.
Cutting to Finish the Free “Winterset Bricks” Quilt Pattern:
- Brick color (your choice) #1 (left and right border): Cut & piece TWO (2) 2″ x 50 1/2″ strips
- Brick color #1 (top and bottom border): Cut & piece TWO (2) 2″ x 59″ strips
- Brick color (your choice) #2: Cut & piece FOUR (4) 5 1/2″ x 59″ strips
- Brick color #3 (corners): Cut FOUR (4) 5 1/2″ squares
- Brick color #1 (binding): Cut enough 2 1/2″ x WOF strips to piece together to bind your quilt.
Make your quilt sandwich with your quilt top, batting & backing and quilt as desired. To finish your quilt sew on the binding!
