Isn’t she beautiful? Gorgeous? Ravishing? A knockout? Stunning?
Is it acceptable to say that about a quilt that I designed myself? 🙂 Hope so because I just did it!
I’ve made a lot of quilts in my time! And a lot of block of the month quilts on my sister-site! My sponsor has sponsored FIFTEEN (15) of those quilts, since I’ve been making block of the month (and more!) quilt designs & posting them on BOMquilts.com! I think she’s a keeper! 🙂
The first part of the “Midnight Stargazer” pattern to be revealed are the “Fabric Requirements.” What’s most important about them is that if you plan on making this quilt & want the fabrics that I used in mine, you’re going to want to purchase yours now! And I’m not just saying that to make a quick sale for Abbi May’s. She’s already sold out of her kits once & has had to cut a second batch of kits! And there won’t be anymore. Once this second set of kits are sold. That’s all that there’s going to be.
There are only SIX (6) quilt blocks in the “Midnight Stargazer” quilt.
And each one is as beautiful as the next!
But it’s not the design, or the construction, or even the layout of the quilt blocks that makes them beautiful. It’s the fabrics themselves!
This quilt’s featuring the “Bohemian Rhapsody†fabrics designed by Dan Morris for QT Fabrics.
They’re ombré fabrics that have an amazing shimmer to them! Something that I’ve never seen before in any of the fabrics that I’ve worked with. They really make each & every one of the “stars” in this quilt come to life!
