Seminole Star Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Aqua: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Aqua 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Aqua: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Aqua 1 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Aqua: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Aqua 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Aqua: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Aqua 1 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Aqua 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Teal 1 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Teal 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Teal 1 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Peach: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Peach 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Peach: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Peach 1 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Peach: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Peach 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Peach: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Peach 1 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 7/ 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the Aqua Snowball Corners, they are also flanked by the Teal Snowball Corners & they are flanked by the Peach Snowball Corners.)

- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Yellow 1 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Yellow 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Yellow 1 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They will also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block when you sew it together.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Yellow 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They will also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block when you sew it together.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 7/ 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the Aqua Snowball Corners, they are also flanked by the Teal Snowball Corners & they are flanked by the Peach Snowball Corners.)
