Star of Wonder Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Light Blue: Cut THREE (3) 4 1/2″ squares
  • Medium Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ strips
  • Medium Blue: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Dark Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square
  • Dark Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/4″ strips. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Light Green: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares
  • Light Green: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Medium Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/4″ strips. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Medium Green: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Dark Green: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Red: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ x 4 1/2″ strips
  • Red: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ strips
  • Red: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/4″ x 4″ strips
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut FOUR 1 1/2″ x 4″ strips
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square
