Twinkling Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 3/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 2 3/8″ squares & the results of the White 7 1/4″ square, as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 2 3/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Green 3 7/8″ squares & the Green 2 3/8″ squares. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked on ONE (1) side by the results of the Green 3 7/8″ squares. And they’ll be flanked on ONE (1) other side by the results of the Green 2 3/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.)
