Good Fortune Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Bright Pink: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. On the back side the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These will flank both ends of the White 6 1/8″ x 11 7/8″ rectangle, which will create TWO (2) Snowball Corners. They’ll also be the upper right-hand & the lower left-hand corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Light Pink: Cut ONE (1) 8 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank both sides of the White 6 1/8″ x 11 7/8″ rectangle. They’ll also be the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/8″ x 11 7/8″ rectangle. (This is flanked on each end by the results of the Bright Pink 4 7/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Snowball Corner. As well as on each side by the results of the Light Pink 8 7/8″ square. It’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Good Fortune Quilt Blocks,†you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
