Star & Cross Quilt Block
- Dk. Green: Cut ONE (1) 2 5/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. paired with the Green 2 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles.)
- Dk. Green: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Dk. Green: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will flank the Dk. Green 2 5/8″ square, as well as the results of the Green 3 7/8″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 5/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 2 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles, they’ll create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Dk. Green 2 5/8″ square in the center of this quilt block. They’re also paired with the Green 2 5/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Dk. Green 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the upper half of the Green 2 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These will flank the Snowball Corner & the results of the White 2 3/8″ squares.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 5″ rectangles. (These will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 2 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Aqua
2 3/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.) - Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Blue 3 7/8″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Aqua: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Blue
