Gift Box Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. (These will flank the White 1 7/8″ x 4  3/4″ rectangles, or the White 1 7/8″ x 7 5/8″ rectangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the White 1 7/8″ x 4  3/4″ rectangles or the White 1 7/8″ x 7 5/8″ rectangles.)
• Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the White
  1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the White
  1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These will flank the Pink 4 3/4″ square on TWO (2) sides. They’ll also be flanked by the Pink 3 3/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 1 7/8″ x 7 5/8″ rectangles. (These will flank the Pink 4 3/4″ square on TWO (2) sides. They’ll also be flanked by the Pink 3 3/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles.)
