Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 1″ squares.
  • Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 1″ x 1 1/2″ strips.
  • Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/4″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/4″ x 6 3/4″ strips.
  • Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 1″ squares.
  • Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 1″ x 1 1/2″ strips.
  • Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/4″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/4″ x 6 3/4″ strips.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/4″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/4″ x 6 3/4″ strips.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.

  • Blue: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2″ squares.
  • Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ strips.
  • Blue: Cut TWO (2) 1 3/4″ x 4″ strips.
  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 1 3/4″ x 9″ strip.
  • Green: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 1 1/2″ squares.
  • Green: Cut FOUR (4) 4″ squares.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Purple: Cut ONE (1) 6 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles.
  • Purple: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. You only need THREE (3) of these triangles for this quilt block.
  • Purple: Cut ONE (1) 13 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. You only need ONE (1) of these for this quilt block.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 6 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. You only need SIX (6) of these triangles for this quilt block.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles.

  • Medium Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with each other. ONE (1) of them is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block. ONE (1) other one is the lower right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
  • Dark Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ strip. (This is the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
