Quilted Kitchen: Fruit Basket Quilt Block & Cookie Fruit Baskets Recipe

Fruit Basket Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. On the back side draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles (you only need ONE (1) triangle for this quilt block).
  • Peach: Cut NINE (9) 2 1/2″ squares.
  • White: Cut THREE (3) 2 3/4″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 4 3/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square (you only need THREE (3) triangles for this quilt block).
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/2″ squares.

Prickly Pear Quilt Block




Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Purple:  Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares.
  • Pink:  Cut TWELVE (12) 2 1/4″ squares.
  • White:  Cut TWELVE (12) 2 1/4″ squares. Then on the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then on the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • White:  Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares.

  • White:  Cut FIVE (5) 4 1/2″ squares.
  • White:  Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares.  Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times.  You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.
