“All Hands on Deck†Free Easy to Sew Quilt Pattern designed by Natalie Crabtree from Anthology Fabrics
“Window Panes†Free Easy to Sew Quilt Pattern designed by Wendy Sheppard from Anthology Fabrics
Do ya’ll remember reading about “The Good Time Quilters of Blind Bay” before? I wrote about them three separate times right here on my blog.
You can find the previous blog posts here, here & here.
They made my original pattern from my sister site BOMquilts.com called “Cinnamon-teen Chocolate Figs & Roses.â€
I designed this BOM quilt in 2006 & it’s become a treasured quilt pattern! It’s just one of those timeless patterns that never goes unnoticed! I hear it from so many people that they love my pattern & they love the finished quilt even more!
But “The Good Time Quilters of Blind Bay” are the subject of this post so I’d better get on with the program 🙂
Here’s some pix of their finished quilts & I’m so impressed with how they all turned out! I don’t think any two of them are the same & I know that each one reflects the maker of their individual quilts. Love each & every one of them!

This is a photo of a number of the “Cinnamon-teen Chocolate Figs & Roses” quilts made by some of the members of “The Good Time Quilters of Blind Bay” quilt group!
These next four photos are the individual quilts (most of them) shown above in the group photo.
(Don’t pay too much attention to the distorted quilt photos. Doesn’t mean that they aren’t beautiful! That’s how they came to me.)

This last quilt photo was made by Mandy. Isn’t it stunning?!! Not to discount the other quilters’ quilts. This is just the only one that I was able to get a good pic of.

Remember this quilt? This amazing, beautiful, wonderful, eye-popping, luscious, astonishing, astounding, awesome, breathtaking, fabulous & spectacular quilt 🙂 ?
The second part of the pattern has been published!
It’s a very important part of the pattern, too.
There are 29 different fabrics, that make up this quilt top & without this second part you’ll be completely lost! Because it names & assigns numbers to each & every fabric that’s in this quilt top.
Here’s just a sample of some of the fabric colors:
See what I mean? Without the second part of the “Midnight Stargazer” 2020 BOM quilt pattern, you’re going to get lost & we don’t want that to happen. Then what would you do?
Well, maybe that could be a good thing. Just think…you could let your fingers do the shopping at Abbi May’s Fabric Shop! She’s got a whole lot of fabrics there & they’re always 10% below MSRP! Plus, she’s the only sponsor of my “Midnight Stargazer” quilt pattern & she deserves a whole lotta love for sponsoring it 🙂 !
An optical illusion is something that deceives
the eye by appearing to be other than it is.

That’s what’s happening with this month’s free quilt pattern over at Quilt Dash.
You don’t get the free pattern just for playing our Quilt Dash game. Oh no, you don’t 🙂 ! You must complete the Quilt Dash & then you’ll earn this month’s free quilt pattern.
“A Quilter’s Dream”
Optical Illusion One
This beautiful quilt was designed by Phyllis Dobbs for Quilt Dash.
Here’s what Phyllis has to say about her quilt pattern: “Create a quilt that can be an optical illusion with this on-point quilt pattern consisting of half square triangles and quarter square triangles. Quilters Dream quilt pattern consists of 5 different 8†blocks. An alternate arrangement of the blocks is shown for another option of creating your quilt. The quilt size is 44†x 55 1/4.”
“A Quilter’s Dream”
Optical Illusion Two
See what I mean? Isn’t it amazing how you can just move a few different blocks around & come up with a completely different quilt? I bet you could even change them around a couple more times & still have something different.
Each & every time!
In order for you to download this free pattern, all you need to do is to create a new account (or login to your current account) at QuiltDash.com & click on the link that says “Join the QuiltDash†(no quotes). Once you’ve done that, you just need to search for the images on the shops/websites/blogs who are participating in this month’s Quilt Dash. It’s really quite simple & a fun thing to do! Not to mention you get to look at some lovely quilty fabrics that you may just want to purchase (I promise not to tell anyone 🙂 )!
“Midnight Stargazer†2020 Block of the Month Quilt. An Original Design by
TK Harrison, Owner of BOMquilts.com
Isn’t she beautiful? Gorgeous? Ravishing? A knockout? Stunning?
Is it acceptable to say that about a quilt that I designed myself? 🙂 Hope so because I just did it!
I’ve made a lot of quilts in my time! And a lot of block of the month quilts on my sister-site! My sponsor has sponsored FIFTEEN (15) of those quilts, since I’ve been making block of the month (and more!) quilt designs & posting them on BOMquilts.com! I think she’s a keeper! 🙂
Abbi May’s Fabric Shop’s top dog when it comes to quilt fabric!”
And their prices are always 10% below list prices!
The first part of the “Midnight Stargazer” pattern to be revealed are the “Fabric Requirements.” What’s most important about them is that if you plan on making this quilt & want the fabrics that I used in mine, you’re going to want to purchase yours now! And I’m not just saying that to make a quick sale for Abbi May’s. She’s already sold out of her kits once & has had to cut a second batch of kits! And there won’t be anymore. Once this second set of kits are sold. That’s all that there’s going to be.
There are only SIX (6) quilt blocks in the “Midnight Stargazer” quilt.
And each one is as beautiful as the next!
But it’s not the design, or the construction, or even the layout of the quilt blocks that makes them beautiful. It’s the fabrics themselves!
This quilt’s featuring the “Bohemian Rhapsody†fabrics designed by Dan Morris for QT Fabrics.
They’re ombré fabrics that have an amazing shimmer to them! Something that I’ve never seen before in any of the fabrics that I’ve worked with. They really make each & every one of the “stars” in this quilt come to life!
But don’t take my word for it. Go & buy the kit & you’ll see what I mean!
