Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 12 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. You only need ONE (1) of these for this quilt block. (This is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. You only need ONE (1) of these for this quilt block. (This is the lower right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ x 19″ rectangle. Once you’ve sewn your rectangle to the TWO (2) Blue triangles square up your quilt block so it measures the unfinished size of 12 1/2″ square.
