Holland Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Green: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the White 3 1/2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These squares are flanked by the results of the Green
5 1/4″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares.) - White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Green 5 1/4″ squares.)

Sew TWELVE (12) “Holland Quilt Blocks” to end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished & 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
