Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Dk. Green: Cut ONE (1) 1 7/8″ square. (This is the center “kiss” of this quilt block.)
- Dk. Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ x 4″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Green 1 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Dk. Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the results of the Green 1 7/8″ squares. Once sewn together they’ll create a “frame” around the center of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Dk. Green 1 7/8″ x 4″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut TWO (2) 1 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Dk. Green 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ rectangles. Once they’re sewn together they’ll create a “frame” around the center of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Dk. Green 1 7/8″ x 4″ rectangles.)
- Green: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the White 1 7/8″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles in the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners in the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ x 2 5/8″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. Then they’re paired with the Dk. Green
1 7/8″ square “kiss” in the center of this quilt block.) - White: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Green 5 1/4″ squares.)
