Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Red: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ x 5″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 2″ x 5″ rectangles.)
- Red: Cut TEN (10) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create FIVE (5) Square in a Squares. FOUR (4) of these Square in a Squares are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. The remaining ONE (1) Square in a Square is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 5″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Red 2 1/2″ x 5″ rectangles.)
- White: Cut FIVE (5) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the Red 3 3/4″ squares which will create FIVE (5) Square in a Squares. FOUR (4) of these Square in a Squares are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. The remaining ONE (1) Square in a Square is the center of this quilt block.)

Sew TWELVE (12) “Hide & Seek Quilt Blocks” to end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished & 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
