Square Dance Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Pink: Cut SIX (6) 3 1/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Fuchsia 3 1/4″ squares. Which will create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Pink: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles that’ll “Frame” the center of this quilt block.)
- Pink: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired on TWO (2) sides with the Pink/Fuchsia Half-Square Triangles.)
- Pink: Cut ONE (1) 2 7/8″ x 7 3/4″ rectangle. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- Fuchsia: Cut SIX (6) 3 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the Pink 3 1/4″ squares. Which will create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired on TWO (2) sides with the Fuchsia/Pink Half-Square Triangles. They’re also paired on ONE (1) other side with the Pink 2 7/8″ squares.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Pink 3 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)

Sew TWELVE (12) “Square Dance Quilt Blocks” to end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished & 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
