On Cloud Nine: Double Anchor Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Rust: Cut FIVE (5) 3 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Green 3 3/8″ squares. Once they’re sewn together they’ll create ONE (1) Nine-Patch & they’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Rust: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These are the lower left-hand & the upper right-hand corners of this quilt block. They’ll flank the Rust/Green Nine-Patch in the center of this quilt & will partially create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Rust 3 3/8″ squares. Once they’re sewn together they’ll create ONE (1) Nine-Patch & they’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. (These are the lower right-hand & the upper left-hand corners of this quilt block. They’ll flank the Rust/Green Nine-Patch in the center of this quilt & will partially create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
