Farm Country Star Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Dk. Blue 4 7/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
- Dk. Blue: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Blue 4 7/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
- Dk. Blue: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares.Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Dk. Blue 5 1/4″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
