Campaign Trail Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the Rust 3 7/8″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Gold: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the Orange
3 7/8″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.) - Orange: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Gold 6 7/8″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Orange: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the 3″ x 3 1/3″ rectangles as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Rust: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Yellow 6 7/8″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Rust: Cut EIGHT (8) 3″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Orange 1 2/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
