Blueberry Patch Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Pink: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are paired with the Brown 3 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. It’ll become the center of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the center Quarter-Square Triangle & will create ONE (1) Square in a Square as needed to sew the center of this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2″ squares & will create FOUR (4) Four-Patch corners as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These are paired with the Pink 3 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. It’ll become the center of this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are flanked by the results of the White 3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Brown 2″ squares & will create FOUR (4) Four-Patch corners as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Brown 7 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
