Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.)
- Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 3/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow 2 3/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block)
- Gold: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the White
2 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.) - Yellow: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow & Gold Half-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Gold 2 3/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the White
2 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.) - Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the White
