Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Aqua: Cut EIGHTEEN (18) 1 7/8 squares. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ squares, which will create THIRTY-SIX (36) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Aqua: Cut TWELVE (12) 1 7/8 squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the White 1 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut THREE (3) 4 1/2″ squares. (ONE (1) of these is the center of this quilt block. Another ONE (1) is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block. The third ONE (1) is the lower right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHTEEN (18) 1 7/8 squares. On the back sides, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Aqua 1 7/8″ squares, which will create THIRTY-SIX (36) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut THREE (3) 4 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Aqua 1 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Take Quilt Blocks,” you’ll end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
