Heart Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Red: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ rectangle. (This will be flanked on one side by the results of the Pink 7 1/4″ square as needed for this quilt block.)
• Pink: Cut ONE (1) Pink 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. You only need THREE (3) of these triangles for this quilt block. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 3 7/8″ squares, which will create THREE (3) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Pink: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the White 3 7/8″ square, which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Pink: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangle. (This will be flanked on both ends by the results of the Pink 3 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These will be the lower left-hand & lower right-hand corner’s of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Pink 7 1/4″ square, which will create THREE (3) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (This is paired with the White 3 7/8″ square, which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
